Paula Denham

Paula Denham has been practicing shamanism for 26 years. Her healing work and teaching is guided by Spirits of Celtic, Tibetan (Nepali) and Hindu traditions, as well as Spirits of this land.. As with any shaman, Paula’s intention is to address spiritual illness (and any associated physical suffering), to bring the love, wisdom and healing of Spirit to those who feel wounded, lost, disconnected, disempowered or dispirited, and who are struggling with the circumstances of their lives or simply to know life – and themselves – authentically. She also welcomes those who wish to consult the Spirits on a matter of importance to them.

Paula Denham has been teaching shamanism and guiding a small but ever-growing community of shamans and students of shamanism for 20 years. (She is pleased to consider a number of her former students to be her colleagues; the practitioners listed here are among them.) She is a founder of the Sacramento Shamanic Center, a Minister of the Circle of the Sacred Earth Church, a director on the board of the Collaborative Medicine and Healing Circle, and a founding member of the Society for Shamanic Practice. She was awarded certification (CSC) in Harner Method Shamanic Counseling in 1997 by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Paula offers weekend Teaching Circles locally and across the nation, as requested: Beginning Shamanic Journeying for those longing for direct contact with the Spirits; Coming to Forgiveness of Self and Others, Medicine for the Earth, and Spirits of Nature are open to those who have at least minimal journey skills; Receive Your Childhood Training is for shamanic practitioners who came to the shaman’s path as adults. A scheduled Teaching Circle will be listed on the Calendar of Events, or contact Paula to let her know of your (or your group’s) interest.
